Shelley Kay Deppolder, age 53, of Peoria, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at her residence.
Shelley was born on March 24, 1958 in Cicero, Illinois to Lewis E. and Marian L.(Shelly) Victor. She married Dwain Steven Deppolder on May 3, 1975 in Peoria, Illinois.
Shelley is survived by her husband, Dwain; her children, Steven (Trisha) Deppolder of Chillicothe, Bobbie (Tim Harris) Deppolder of Washington, Illinois and Amanda Kaschmitter of Peoria, Illinois; her grandchildren, Isaak Everett, Ivy Turner, Gabriel Deppolder, Kaleigh Everett, Tyler Bolton, and Addyson Deppolder; two sisters, Shelia (Donald) Shepard-Shover of Chillicothe, Illinois and Vicki Brown of Petersburg, Illinois and her dear friends, Ray & Rita Martin, who stood by her side until the end. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law, Abraham Kaschmitter.
Shelley was a claims adjuster for Illinois Mutual Insurance Company. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe and was previously a volunteer for Rescue 33. Shelley enjoyed making jewelry and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Services were held on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11am at Weber-Hurd Funeral in Chillicothe. Pastor Curtis Cochran officiated. Visitation was held on Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 4pm to 6pm at the funeral home and on Monday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Academy.
