Delores B. Petty, 74 of Chillicothe passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at her residence.
Delores was born in Chillicothe the daughter of Van and Alice (Kitzmiller) Smith on September 11, 1938. She married David L. Petty on September 23, 1956 in Chillicothe. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1998.
She leaves behind daughters, Jessica (Erik) Reny of Chillicothe and Lorna (Gary) Hercl of Kingwood, Texas. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Shanea (Ben) Williams of Washington, IL, Alison (Ben) Krokum of Chillicothe, Nicholas and Matthew Hercl of Kingwood, TX and her Great-grandchildren; Drew, Parker and Maxwell. Also surviving are her sisters; Rosie Taylor of CA, Lorraine (Walt) Guigler of Chillicothe and Carmen (Don) Biddison of Chillicothe and her brothers, Bob (Pat) Smith of Chillicothe and Russell (Eleanor) Smith of Chillicothe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother Dick Smith who passed in 2012.
Delores was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed sewing, cross stitching and reading. She loved her family and her bears, and Coca-Cola memorabilia.
She was a member of the Chillicothe First United Methodist Church.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 14th at the Chillicothe First United Methodist Church with visitation held two hours prior.
The Rev. Ted Mitchell will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery.

Richard Lee Bussell, 73 of Chillicothe passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Cornerstone Nursing Home in Peoria Heights, Illinois.
He was born June 6, 1939 in Sparland, Il the son of Harold and Ruth (Mullen) Bussell. He married Linda White on July 21, 1972 in Peoria, IL.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, two sons; Tracy L (Krystle) Bussell of Canton, Bryan (Cindy) Bussell of Pekin, one daughter; Danielle (Brian) Mullens of Bellevue and his best friend “Babe” his spoiled poodle. One brother; Donald (Joyce) Bussell of Streator, a cousin that was like a sister; Cassie Lambert (Martin) Krutke of Hudson and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Richard was a US Army Veteran.
He worked at Herschel Manufacturing for 9 1/2 years where he meet his wife, and for Caterpillar in Mossville as a painter for 31 years retiring in 2005.
Richard was a member and deacon of Sparland First Baptist Church.
Funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 9th at his church with visitation held two hours prior to the service. The Rev. Elaine Bolen officiated. Irene H. Zimmerman, 102 of Chillicothe passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2013 at Methodist Medical Center where she was admitted earlier that evening.
She was born March 16, 1910 in Marshall County to Charles and Pearl McLaughlin Donath. She married Edward P. Zimmerman, November 5, 1927 in Princeton, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1978.
Irene is survived by a niece, Mary Lee (Ted) Bliss of Chillicothe, a great niece, Linda (Bob) Perschke of Hendersonville, Tennessee, a nephew Edward (Joanne) Faukenthal of Lacon, a step-great niece Sharon (Larry) McCaw and a great-nephew, Michael (Cindy) Bornsheuer of Chillicothe.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Irene’s greatest joys were her independence, home, family and the endless stories she liked to tell of living 102 blissful years. Her home was her favorite place where she could feed her birds and squirrels and tend to her flowers. She led a life well-lived and full of love.
She worked for Kroger’s in downtown Chillicothe managing the meat market during World War II and later spent 17 years working at Irons Concrete Block Company in Chillicothe.
Funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2012 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe with visitation one hour prior. The Rev. Raymond Harrison officiated. He was born August 13, 1984 in Peoria, IL the son of Brad and (Robin) Vandak Bannister.
Surviving are his parents, two brothers; Jordan (Kourtney) Bannister and Levi Bannister both of Chillicothe, two sisters; Ivy (Justin) Carnegie of Fullerton, CA and Faith Bannister of Chillicothe, one niece; Jocelyn Bannister, grandparents; Bob and Alice Bannister, Ken and Kathy Dunbar all of Chillicothe and his partner in life Annastashia Faye Mietelski.
Also surviving are several Aunts and Uncles; Craig (Shelia) Bannister, Dana (Loretta) Bannister, Patty (Jeff) Williams, Adele Bannister-Goodwin, Brian (Shelly Bailey) Dunbar, Kathy (Dwight) Elliott, Amy Vandak, Ginger (Dan) Garner, Tammy (Jeff) Howell and Landon (Brenda) Dunbar.

Drew attended Nashville Auto Diesel College were he graduated with Craftsman Awards.
He enjoyed Fishing, music festivals, hanging with friends and family and his beer.

Jason Nicholas Rogers, 32 of Champaign IL died unexpectedly Feb 8, 2013 at Provena Covenant Hospital ER in Urbana, IL .
He was born August 28, 1980 in Hammond, IN to Brian and Karen (Uram) Rogers. Jason married Amanda Williamson on Nov. 27, 2004 in Morris, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda and children Jada and Aiden of Champaign, IL; parents, Brian and Karen Rogers; sister, Kirsten Rogers; Aunt Cynthia Rogers and Grandma Millie Rogers all of Lansing, IL; mother in law, Deb Williamson; brother in law, Scott (Karrie) Williamson and niece Jessica Williamson; and Grandma in law, Wava Temple and Great Grandma in law, Velma Finck all of Chillicothe, IL.
Jason was preceded in death by: Grandpa Syl Uram, Grandpa Al Rogers, Grandpa in law Dean Temple and father in law, Lonnie Williamson.
He graduated from Thornton-Fractional South High School, Lansing, IL in 1998 and University of Illinois in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Human Factors.
Jason started his career at U of I as a Flight Instructor for the college and in 2008 started his career at Flightstar in Savoy, IL as Co-Captain Pilot in the Falcon 10 Aircraft. In April 2012 he switched to the Lear Jet 45XR Aircraft.
Visitation will be held at Weber Hurd Funeral Home on Tuesday Feb. 12, 2013 5pm – 8pm. A Life Celebration service will be held on Wednesday Feb. 13, 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery.
An additional memorial celebration will also be held from 2-4pm Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 at Flightstar Corporation 7 Airport Road, Savoy, IL 61874.

Ruby L. Cox, 89, of Chillicothe died on Sunday, April 21, 2013 surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 2, 1924 in Benton, KY the daughter of Thomas E. and Maggie (Cole) Barker. She married Berthold Cox, Sr. on April 12, 1947 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2002.
Surviving are her children: Berthold Cox, Jr. of St. Peters, MO, Larry Cox of Chillicothe, IL, Kenneth Cox of Chillicothe, IL, Paul Cox of Dawson, IL, Catherine Cox of Mill Valley, CA, Susan Shrimpton of Benicia, CA, Richard Cox of Buffalo, IL, Cindy (Michael) Bornsheuer of Chillicothe, IL, George (Dawn) Cox of Colleyville, TX, Maggie (Chuck) Stroyeck of Simi Valley, CA, and Robert Cox, whom she made her home with, of Chillicothe, IL; 22 Grandchildren; and 11 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, David, a granddaughter, Hannah, two sisters and one brother.
Ruby worked in an Ammunition Plant in St. Louis during WWII, when she met her husband. She was a member of St. Margaret’s Church while in St. Louis participating in St. Margaret’s Kitchen Band.
She was a charter member of the Pearce Community Center in Chillicothe, Member of the Red Hats Society, VFW Post 4999 Woman’s Auxiliary, and she was proud of her service with the Red Cross, donating over 15 gallons of blood
Ruby she was member of St. Edward Catholic Church for 48 years, volunteering as a room mother, member of the mothers club, worked the church auctions and additional activities to support the church through out the years.
When Ruby found time from raising her children she was waitress at the Tea Room at the Dolph House and enjoyed bowling in Chillicothe. She was an avid Cardinal Fan.
Ruby was a very generous person with her time and very charitable. She was the friendliest person anyone could ever meet and she never knew a stranger.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Edward Catholic Church, Chillicothe. Fr. Keith Walder officiating. Visitation will be held at Weber Hurd Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-8:00 PM with recitation of the rosary. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the church. Burial will be held in the Chillicothe City Cemetery at a later date following the cremation. Memorials may be made to St. Edward School or to Rescue 33.

She was born June 22, 1944 in Hardin, IL the daughter of Martha Tolbert Gordon. She married Robert Dunn April 28, 1972 in Loves Park, IL.
Surviving are her husband Robert, her children; Eric Schuller of Loami, IL, Roberta “Bobbie” Stone of Alton, IL, Edward (and Suzy) Dunn of Raleigh, NC, Tamara Smith of Springfield, IL, Zachary Dunn of Chillicothe and Deric Schuller of Naperville, IL. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Mary Ann was a board member of the Rome Youth Activities serving as past recording secretary and past president.
She was a former member of Altrusa.
She enjoyed baseball, gardening, reading, watching movies and NASCAR.

and Marguerite Wirth Stephenson and lived in Chillicothe much of her life. She worked as a secretary for the Santa Fe Railroad in Chillicothe before marrying
Gayle B. Lunday in Marceline, MO, September 22, 1945. He passed away
on February 22, 1993.
Her parents and three brothers preceded her: Walter B. Stephenson,

and Donald P. Stephenson. Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl G. Lunday of Chillicothe and Mrs.

Nancy was born on November 30, 1953 in Peoria the daughter of Raymond and Bertha (Hopwood) Fisher. She married Kenneth E. Goewey on April 23, 1971 in Peoria.
Nancy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe where she volunteered and helped with Friends to Share, Truth Trackers, Scrip Program at the Academy and many other activities.
Nancy was employed as a full time grandma and loved her job.
Nancy is survived by husband, her children: Trisha (Steve) Deppolder and Christina (Carl) Spencer both of Chillicothe; three grandchildren: Gabriel and Addyson Deppolder, and Ivy Turner; eight brothers and sisters: Sue Hagel of Many, LA, Dave (Georgianne) Fisher of Mapleton, Glen (Dottie) Fisher of Chillicothe, Mary (Greg) Ryan of Mapleton, Peggy (Larry) Stark of Downs, Jane (Jerry) Hardin of Peoria, June (Paul) Rosenbohm of Peoria and John (Dodie) Fisher of Washington; a sister-in-law Linda Fisher of Peoria; and many nieces and nephews. Walter F. Giugler, 88, of Chillicothe passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 8:03 P.M. in the company of his
family at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at United Methodist Church, Chillicothe.
Rev. Ted Mitchell will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, July 22, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at
Weber-Hurd Funeral Home, Chillicothe. Masonic Rites will be held following the visitation at 7:00 PM. Burial will
be held at a later date in the Chillicothe City Cemetery, Chillicothe. Walter was born on March 18, 1925 in Davenport, IA to Dominick and Julia (Norin) Giugler. He married Lorraine
Smith on December 30, 1945 at the First United Methodist Church in Lacon. Walter served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II as a First Lieutenant lead bombardier in Italy.
He also served as a bombardier instructor. Walter retired after more than 30 years with the Chillicothe Federal Savings and Loan. Walter was a member and served on the board and was treasurer of Arrowhead County Club.
He was a member of George Washington Masonic Lodge AM/AF #222 for over 50 years and a member of the
Scottish Rite Valley of Peoria. Surviving are his wife, a son, Larry (Mary) Giugler of Sparland; and daughters, Janet Giugler of Normal,
Nanette (Kevin) Grindstaff of Decatur, Sally (Alan) Goeke of Burr Ridge; grandchildren, Lilja Agness and
Erik Zachary Agness of Appleton, WI, Michael Giugler and Brian Giugler of Sparland, Ian Grindstaff and

She was born February 18, 1930 in Wyoming, IL the daughter of Lawrence and Edith (Brazee) Noret. She married Louis Stoecker on September 4, 1954 in Dunlap, IL. He preceded her in death August 12, 2001.
Surviving are her children; Rick (Alison) Stoecker of Varna, David (Mary) Stoecker of Lancaster, OH, Diane (Jerry) Shockey of Franklin, TN and Susan (Steve) Hoerr of Chillicothe, twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband, one brother, one sister and one granddaughter preceded her in death.
Ida was a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Chillicothe, Chillicothe First United Methodist Church and the Pearce Community Center.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Chillicothe First United Methodist Church with a luncheon to follow in the parish hall. Inurnment will be in the Wyoming Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Pearce Community Center. Ronald D. “Hotdog” McLaughlin, 63 of Chillicothe passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 1518 Nth Finney Street where he resided with Phyllis Magee-Boley for the last 14 years.
He was born December 9, 1949 in Peoria, IL the son of Leslie and W. Jean (Blew) McLaughlin. He married Kathleen Murphy. Later divorced.
Surviving are his twin brother; Donald G. McLaughlin of Sunnyland, brother; Richard (Kelly) McLaughlin of Mossville and one sister Barb (Phil) O’Connor of Iowa, one son; Joshua Kline; two nieces Kara and Kelsey both of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant daughter, Andrea McLaughlin.
He worked at Kenny’s IGA in Chillicothe, Big Bill’s Red Fox in Chillicothe and He also worked for M&M roofing and did carpentry work on his own. Later was a janitor at the Chillicothe First United Methodist Church and last working at Pearce Community Center.
He was a founding member and volunteered for Rescue 33. He was a member of the Peoria Casting Club where he loved to fish.
Ron was a Life member of the National Home Gardening Club. He enjoyed gardening and working with flowers.
He was a wonderful and loving Grandpa to Devin, Lucas, Garret, Lilli Boley and Leah, Levi Rexroat.
He was a #1 fan of scratch off lottery tickets.
Every Morning he made his trip around town to check things out starting with coffee with his buddies.
Cremation rites will be accorded and inurnment will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Rev. Britton Rexroat will officate. Following the inurnment a Celebration of Life will be held starting at 12:00 (Noon) at the Whistle Stop in Chillicothe. Memorials may be made to Rescue 33 or Pearce Community Center. Delores B. Petty
Delores B. Petty, 74 of Chillicothe passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at her residence.
Delores was born in Chillicothe the daughter of Van and Alice (Kitzmiller) Smith on September 11, 1938. She married David L. Petty on September 23, 1956 in Chillicothe. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1998.
She leaves behind daughters, Jessica (Erik) Reny of Chillicothe and Lorna (Gary) Hercl of Kingwood, Texas. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Shanea (Ben) Williams of Washington, IL, Alison (Ben) Krokum of Chillicothe, Nicholas and Matthew Hercl of Kingwood, TX and her Great-grandchildren; Drew, Parker and Maxwell. Also surviving are her sisters; Rosie Taylor of CA, Lorraine (Walt) Guigler of Chillicothe and Carmen (Don) Biddison of Chillicothe and her brothers, Bob (Pat) Smith of Chillicothe and Russell (Eleanor) Smith of Chillicothe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother Dick Smith who passed in 2012.
Delores was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed sewing, cross stitching and reading. She loved her family and her bears, and Coca-Cola memorabilia.
She was a member of the Chillicothe First United Methodist Church.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 14th at the Chillicothe First United Methodist Church with visitation held two hours prior.
The Rev. Ted Mitchell will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, OSF Hospice or to her Church.

Richard Lee Bussell, 73 of Chillicothe passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Cornerstone Nursing Home in Peoria Heights, Illinois.
He was born June 6, 1939 in Sparland, Il the son of Harold and Ruth (Mullen) Bussell. He married Linda White on July 21, 1972 in Peoria, IL.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, two sons; Tracy L (Krystle) Bussell of Canton, Bryan (Cindy) Bussell of Pekin, one daughter; Danielle (Brian) Mullens of Bellevue and his best friend “Babe” his spoiled poodle. One brother; Donald (Joyce) Bussell of Streator, a cousin that was like a sister; Cassie Lambert (Martin) Krutke of Hudson and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Richard was a US Army Veteran.
He worked at Herschel Manufacturing for 9 1/2 years where he meet his wife, and for Caterpillar in Mossville as a painter for 31 years retiring in 2005.
Richard was a member and deacon of Sparland First Baptist Church.
Funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 9th at his church with visitation held two hours prior to the service. The Rev. Elaine Bolen officiated. Burial was in Sparland Cemetery with military rites conducted. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Sparland First Baptist Church.
